This Masarati, like many others, came to UAF with only a few miles on the odometer. Our client wanted to preserve the Blu Oceana factory finish before any road debris has a chance to leave its mark. A dream car for many, our client wanted to ensure that his Masarati would retain a concourse like finish for the many road going years this sports car was to endure.
We decided it would be best to protect both the most frequently damaged front end fascia with a full front clear bra protection. This allowed us to hide any visible seams and lines across the front end for a complete stealth look. The clear bra protection also covered the headlights, side mirrors, full fenders and side skirts. We further protected the rest of the coupe’s paint via a ceramic coating.
The ceramic coating required a light detail despite the low mileage on the car. There were already a few light to medium scratches in the paint installed by the dealership’s porters on the courtesy of the dealer. We started with prepping the car with a 100% hand wash to prevent any further paint damage. A synthetic clay bar is used to remove any surface level imperfections such as embedded brake dust and tree sap.
We then performed a light paint correction on trouble spots and finished with applying two full layers of ceramic coating. Everything from the wheels, exhaust tips, to door jams was treated with a ceramic protection coating. We always remove the necessary components to ensure a thorough job.
In addition to the ceramic coating, we wanted to ensure the brown leather interior wasn’t exposed to UV damage. A 70% ceramic tint was installed on the windshield, which will reduce glare and direct sun exposure from the largest surface that the interior is exposed to. We also installed a 50% ceramic window tint on the remainder of the windows to add a little bit of privacy.
